FAQs
We have been hard at work planning! With each detail, we had everyone in mind as we wanted to make this event fun, unique, and memorable for everyone! We would love to help you plan for your trip, your stay, and our event.
Here are answers to some questions that you might have, or might not have known you needed to ask. If you have more unanswered questions feel free to reach out to us anytime!
Are kids welcome at the wedding?
We love your kids; however, this is an adults-only wedding. We hope you understand and use our wedding to relax and enjoy a romantic (and worry-free) night out with us.
What will the weather be like?
The temperature in Toledo in August typically ranges from a high of 94°F (35°C) to a low of 65°F (18°C). We recommend light summer clothing and swimwear, with typical summer amenities including but not limited to sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hats, etc.
Can I bring along my friend or relative?
As much as we would love to accommodate everyone, plus-ones are intended for spouses/significant others. We have already finalized the guest list and do not have extra spots for plus-ones. If there are extenuating circumstances for a special plus-one request, please get in touch with us to see if we can accommodate them. We appreciate your understanding.
Will there be a dress code on the wedding night?
Yes! To help us make this an unforgettable evening, we kindly request that our guests dress to impress with upscale festive attire. Think fancy cocktail party! Ladies, we kindly ask that you avoid wearing white and shades of white. The majority of our wedding will take place outside. We recommend wearing light fabrics. We cannot wait to see everyone and their amazing outfits!
Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?
We have decided to have a small rehearsal dinner and limit it to our immediate family members and our wedding party. There are many wonderful restaurants in Toledo that we recommend for dinner Tuesday night. Following dinner, we plan on getting a drink out on the town and hope you all can join!
Are phones allowed during the ceremony?
With everyone having traveled so far to attend, we would love everyone to be truly present as we share our love with you. Our ceremony will be a completely unplugged ceremony, meaning no cellphones please! We have hired professional photographers, so your cell phone is not needed. We ask that you leave your phones in your hotel rooms for the duration of our wedding ceremony and be focused on the moment with us. Extra points if you leave your phone in your hotel room for the dinner and reception as well!
What happens if I don’t RSVP?
If we do not receive your RSVP, you will be marked down as a “no.” We must provide the venue with a total guest count on time and avoid any complications in the planning process. We hope you understand.
What type of food will be served at the wedding and what if I have dietary restrictions?
Having traveled to Spain and loving the food and culture, we can assure you that the food will be nothing short of delicious. The head chef at the venue has been cooking there for upwards of 25 years, serving impeccable upscale Spanish cuisine. The venue is highly regarded for their cuisine. If you have any food allergies, please let us know when you RSVP, so that we can make the venue aware.
